Office for Supplier Diversity
A strong and competitive supply chain drives innovation and economic growth. At the University of Minnesota, we believe that providing small businesses with a platform to compete is essential to our success.
Before You Submit: Please ensure you have completed our Business Intake Form before adding your business to the directory.
This directory is the first stop for University purchasers and prime contractors seeking to obtain bids from emerging and small business enterprises. We are dedicated to ensuring that a broad range of suppliers -- including those owned and operated by BIPOC, women, and persons with disabilities -- have the visibility they need to compete for University contracts and partnerships.
A vendor must be certified by at least one of the following certification agencies to join this directory:
Central Certification (CERT) Program
Disability:IN™ Supplier Diversity
Minnesota Unified Certification Program (MnUCP) - The MnUCP Directory is currently paused for re-evaluation. In accordance with University policy, a one-year grace period applies to the existing certifications. View the list of companies that currently qualify as a Targeted Group Business (by virtue of their MnUCP certification) through October 3, 2026.
National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC)
State of Minnesota Department of Administration
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert)
