Office for Supplier Diversity
University of Minnesota Targeted Business Directory
The University of Minnesota relies on small and large suppliers to help us fulfill our core mission of teaching, research, and community service. Our university is a large, complex organization and we need a wide variety of products and services. If you can think of it, we probably buy it at some point during any given year.
The Targeted Business Directory is intended to be the first stop for university departments and administrative units who are seeking to purchase goods and services from business enterprises owned and operated by BIPOC, women, and/or persons with disabilities.
A vendor must be certified as BIPOC-owned, woman-owned, or disabled-owned by at least one of the following certification agencies to meet the University’s definition of a Targeted Group Business:
Central Certification (CERT) Program
Disability:IN™ Supplier Diversity
Minnesota Unified Certification Program (MnUCP)
National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC)
State of Minnesota Department of Administration
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert)
