BLACK ENTREPRENEURS DAY AT THE CAPITOL OFFERS GRANTS, ACCESS TO LEGISLATORS

-

Thousands of dollars in grants and unprecedented access to Minnesota lawmakers will highlight the second Black Entrepreneurs Day at the Capitol February 16.

All Minnesota Black small business owners and their allies are invited to attend this one-of-a-kind event.

ShelettaMakesMeLaugh.com, founded by podcasting entrepreneur Sheletta Brundidge, will again host Black Entrepreneurs Day at the Capitol where founders will meet with lawmakers and share their concerns as legislators appropriate billions of dollars.

400 Black business owners attended last year’s event and a much larger group is expected this year.

One lucky entrepreneur will receive a financial windfall. Each business owner is eligible to win a no-strings-attached $5,000 grant from Brundidge.

Sponsors are Comcast, Northwestern Mutual, AARP Minnesota, Clear Channel Outdoors and Clockwork.

It begins with a rally in the Rotunda at 11:30 a.m., followed by a meeting with legislators at noon, and concludes with a complimentary luncheon in The Vault (located in the Capitol basement) at 2 p.m. Sign up to attend at ShelettaMakesMeLaugh.com.
